MUSIK MATTIN & oval PRESENT A NIGHT OF CONCERTS IN MADRID WITH ANA ROXANNE.
Ana Roxanne's music inhabits a space where ambient, minimalism, decelerated jazz and vocal folk dissolve into a deeply intimate universe.
Trained between California and Uttarakhand, India — where she travelled to study traditional Hindustani vocal techniques — she developed her own sonic language at Mills College. Her debut '~~~' (2015), reissued by Leaving Records in 2019, led to 'Because of a Flower' (2020) on Kranky, which The Guardian described as "a magical pop-ambient mirrorworld".
Now she presents 'Poem 1', her second album and most unguarded statement to date: decelerated jazz, minimalism and vocal folk marked by catharsis, finding hope in the slowness and smoky sadness of its piano themes. A live set that brings this delicate catharsis to the stage
